Biomass
Wood, agricultural residues, organic waste: biomass transforms a local resource into controllable renewable heat, that you can manage and adapt to your needs.

solution
What is biomass ?
Biomass harnesses the energy contained in local organic materials: wood, agricultural residues and industrial by-products. By burning these fuels in a dedicated boiler, it produces heat in the form of hot water or steam, at the temperature and output you require.
It is a renewable energy source that can be adjusted to meet your heating requirements.
How does a biomass boiler work ?
A biomass boiler burns organic fuel to produce heat. This heat is supplied to your process or network in the form of hot water or steam, at the required temperature. The system can be combined with thermal storage to optimise production and smooth out fluctuations in consumption.
When should biomass be used ?
Biomass is suitable for any industrial site or district heating network with access to a local and sustainable source of biomass fuel. It is particularly well-suited as a controllable base-load source, either on its own or to complement other intermittent renewable sources such as solar thermal.
customer benefits
What you gain by switching to biomass
Decarbonising your heat production
Biomass is considered a carbon-neutral renewable energy source, provided it is sourced locally, sustainably and traceably. It directly replaces fossil fuels, with a quantifiable impact on your Scope 1 emissions or your network’s renewable energy and renewable heat share.
Benefit from a controllable and reliable source
Biomass generates heat on demand, according to your thermal requirements. It is a reliable baseload source that secures your heat supply regardless of weather conditions.
Control your heating costs
The cost of biomass is less volatile than that of natural gas. By sourcing locally and entering into long-term contracts, you can secure your heating costs over the long term and reduce your exposure to fluctuations in the energy markets.
Accessing dedicated public funding
Industrial biomass and district heating projects can benefit from national and European public support schemes (CEE, ADEME’s Heat Fund, Innovation Fund, RRF), which significantly improve the project’s financial viability.

NEWHEAT support
Newheat incorporates biomass into your energy mix
Newheat develops, designs, finances and operates biomass boilers for industrial clients and district heating networks, either on their own or as part of a multi-technology mix.

Audit and sizing
We assess the availability and competitiveness of biomass resources in your area, as well as the technical and economic feasibility of your project.

Design and construction
We design and build your plant with performance commitments set out in the contract from the moment it is signed. Whether you are working with an existing plant or a new project, we design the integration to be consistent with your equipment and operational requirements.

Operation and maintenance
We operate, maintain and optimise your plant throughout the duration of the contract. You receive low-carbon heat without having to manage the plant yourself.
Let’s assess your potential savings on your energy bill
Newheat provides you with renewable heat that is cheaper than your current solution, with a price indexed to the market of your choice: electricity, biomass or a sector index. This allows you to maintain control over your costs and your competitiveness. We support you at every stage you need, from the development to the operation of the installation.
