Summary

Newheat is completing its first installation for a tomato production greenhouse.
The project aims to reduce dependence on propane and stabilize the operation’s energy costs while improving its environmental footprint.

Planned commissioning
Q3 2025
Solar peak power
5.6 MWth

Presentation of the heat consumer client

  • Tomato production greenhouse, with an area of 8 hectares and producing 4,000 to 5,000 tons of pesticide-free tomatoes per year.

Principle of technology integration

  • Heating the hot water networks for greenhouses climate control.
  • Fossil fuel displaced: Propane

Key innovation

  • Addition of a second thermal storage to increase the rate of recovery of heat from the incineration plant and manage the different temperature levels between solar thermal and the incineration plant.
