New solar thermal plant for greenhouses

We are pleased to announce the commissioning of a new solar thermal plant supplying greenhouses in Corrèze.
New solar thermal plant supplying greenhouses

Commissioning of the largest solar thermal plant dedicated to heated greenhouses in France.

Developed, built and commissioned by Newheat, this new tailor-made plant provides 100% renewable heat to Les Tomates d’Auïtou’s Greenhouses, innovative heated greenhouses for vegetables production located in Corrèze, specialising in growing tomatoes in heated greenhouses.

Composed of a field of solar thermal collectors and a storage tank, it will supply 5,400 MWh of useful solar heat to the greenhouses each year, covering part of the site’s annual needs. This corresponds to 28,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided over 20 years.

A turnkey project (EPC) supported by the ADEME Fond Chaleur as part of the Call for Projects for Large Solar Thermal Installations.

A first reference for Newheat in the greenhouses sector

This is our 7th plant and our 1st reference for the heated greenhouses sector : a 100% replicable model.
