The founders

Hugues Defréville and Pierre Delmas co-founded Newheat in 2015, driven by a shared conviction: renewable heat is one of the most powerful, and one of the most underestimated, levers for accelerating the energy transition.
As committed entrepreneurs, they form a duo with complementary profiles.

Hugues, an engineer focused on strategy and business development, has brought his ambition and vision to Newheat. With solid experience in the energy sector, he promoted the idea that it was possible to combine economic performance, environmental impact and industrial transformation. Until his tragic death in March 2025, Hugues guided Newheat’s growth with determination, rigour and humanity. He leaves a strong imprint, and a clear direction: the emergence of a new sustainable energy standard.

Pierre, an expert engineer in complex thermal systems, imagined and developed the technological solutions that make Newheat unique today. He embodies innovation at the service of industrial excellence, with one obsession: delivering reliable, high-performance projects to decarbonise heating on a large scale.

Together, they founded Newheat with a clear ambition: to create sustainable energy solutions to support cities and industries in their transition.

Today, that ambition is more alive than ever: to make Newheat the benchmark player in low-carbon heating, in France and beyond, by combining environmental impact, technical excellence and economic viability.
