Newheat Latam decarbonises copper mines in Latin America

Newheat and Sunmark Chile join forces
Since 2015, Newheat has been developing, designing, financing and operating renewable heat production and recovery plants that can combine waste heat recovery, solar thermal energy, short- and long-term thermal storage systems and optimised electrification solutions for large heat consumers (cities and industries).
Sunmark Chile has been a leader in solar thermal energy in Chile since 2012. Among its flagship projects is the Pampa Elvira solar thermal plant for CODELCO’s copper mine, one of the largest in the world.
Sunmark Chile and Newheat are combining their experience and expertise to tackle a major industrial and environmental challenge: accelerating the decarbonisation of copper mines in Chile and Latin America.

Newheat Latam is positioned as a key player, capable of designing, financing, building and operating renewable heat supply solutions, including large-scale solar thermal plants, tailored to the industrial needs of the mining sector in Chile and Latin America.
