Newheat, member of the “Hive” team, wins the prize of the #HELSINKIENERGYCHALLENGE!

Helsinki wants to decarbonize its heating network
Together with STORENGY, and other subsidiaries of ENGIE (France), PlanEnergi (Denmark), #AEE_Intec (Austria) and Savosolar Oyj (Finland), Newheat has designed a complete solution to decarbonize the heating network of Helsinki (6 TWh/year).

This plan will help the city of Helsinki reaching its ambitious goal to reduce its GHG emissions by 78% and phase out coal by 2028 (currently 50% of the heat production), using :
- energy efficiency
- sea water heat pumps
- solar thermal
- large heat storage
- electrical boilers
